Adequacy, GDPR and International Data Transfers in the DIFC

The DIFC is pleased to invite you to a legal outreach webinar session on adequacy, GDPR and international data transfers in the Centre.

Event Summary:
The DIFC DP Law 2020 provides more details on the requirements around transfers (and onward transfers) of Personal Data outside of the DIFC. There are new options for such transfers and enhanced compliance should be considered by each entity in the DIFC that engages in such transfers.  Additionally, adequacy in the DIFC is something that will make life a bit easier for entities sending data to specific jurisdictions. Therefore this session will cover the following:

• Updated international data transfer requirements and options
• How to manage transfers (and onward transfers) in contracting and policies
• What adequacy will mean to DIFC entities
