DIFC Academy Power Breakfast with Mercer

Overview

The DIFC Academy is pleased to partner with Mercer for a Power Breakfast session entitled Life Changers – The Employment Implications of the 100 Year Life.

Our population across the industrialized world is ageing to the extent never experienced before in history. Those born today will likely live close to 100 years, and the way they will live will be very different than we live our lives today. From staying healthy and productive in older age, to reinventing careers multiple times and re-defining what retirement means, their lives will be completely reshaped. Financing longer life expectancy is already a challenge, with research showing that people already run out of savings and pensions before they die.

The session will cover:

  • An overview of Mercer’s new ‘Next Stage’ report, providing quantitative evidence that shows how an age diverse workforce outperforms
  • A review of market leading best practices and case studies that illustrate how to become an age-ready employer, including a ‘Top Ten Checklist’ of interventions for organisations to take away
  • An overview of the results of the recently launched Financial Security and Savings study conducted by Mercer in the UAE with decision-makers and employees timely with the launch of the DEWS Plan. The study includes recommendations on how individuals can start and ensure their financial security over the long term.
