Speaker

Mark Sharpe is a Principal at Mercer's Workplace Health Consulting team in London and has extensive experience in developing and delivering health and wellness solutions for a wide variety of clients across construction, financial and professional services as well as the technology sector amongst others. He advises on large UK and global data driven health and wellness and strategy projects for clients as well as more bespoke projects such as clinical pathway design for mental health and musculoskeletal conditions, health screening provision and occupational health/return to work service provision.

Mark is a dual qualified clinician, as a Chartered Physiotherapist and a Pharmaceutical Chemist, which gives him a unique broad base of healthcare knowledge and experience, particularly around primary care, prevention and early intervention. In addition to many years in clinical practice, prior to joining Mercer in 2016, Mark was Head of Rehabilitation at Aviva Health and also Professional Head of Physiotherapy at Nuffield Health which has given him a strong commercial balance to his clinical skills.

Previously, Mark has worked extensively in the design, development and delivery of clinical pathways for both purchasers and providers of rehabilitation and return to work services where he has won a number of industry awards for innovation. He has also sat on the Board of the UK Rehabilitation Council, the body responsible for quality standards within rehabilitation.
