DIFC Data Protection Law 2020 – Focus on Data Export

Overview

The DIFC is pleased to invite you to a legal outreach webinar session focusing on international data transfers under the new DIFC DP Law 2020.

Event Summary:
The DIFC DP Law 2020 provides more details on the requirements around transfers (and onward transfers) of Personal Data outside of the DIFC. There are enhanced options for such transfers and so compliance measures should be considered by each entity in the DIFC that engages in such transfers.  Additionally, adequacy recognition of DP Law 2020 is something that will make life a bit easier for entities sending data to specific jurisdictions. Therefore this session will cover the following:

  • Updated international data transfer requirements and options
  • How to manage transfers (and onward transfers) in contracting and policies
  • What adequacy recognition will mean to DIFC entities

Please note the session will be on the record brief and recorded.
