DIFC DP Law 2020 Update: Accountability, Supervision and Enforcement

Overview

The DIFC DP Law 2020 has incorporated detailed provisions for ensuring entities to which the DP Law applies are being accountable to data subjects from anywhere in the world, both as part of the entity’s culture of ethical data management and contractually. This session is part of a focus series on the updated portions of the DIFC DP Law, as set out in DP Law 2020. The upcoming webinar will cover the following::

  • Accountability and notifications
  • Controller and Processor obligations
  • The Commissioner’s Objectives, Powers and Functions
  • Supervision and Enforcement

Please join to gain a better understanding of the importance of transparency in data protection operations, what, broadly, should be included in policies and contracts to address these important obligations, and how the Commissioner’s Office supports fulfilling as well as enforcing them.

Kindly note the session will be on the record brief and recorded.
