Family Governance Workshop - Hawkamah

Overview

Regional family businesses face the same commercial and organizational issues as other international family businesses including the impact of globalization; increasing international and national competition; the consequences of growing WTO integration; inter-generational succession planning; and change management.
However they are also faced with unique internal ‘regional’ issues such as a very rapidly changing legal and economic landscape; vast liquidity in the hands of a new generation of entrepreneurs; the application of Shari’a concepts to family and ownership – particularly in the area of succession and inheritance planning; rapidly increasing levels of education; and the success of women in traditionally male-dominated family enterprises.
As part its efforts to help families in business in the region to address these global and specific regional issues, Hawkamah is offering its workshop: Family Governance.
