Finovate Middle East Launch

Overview

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is pleased to announce to become the supporting partner of Finovate Middle East, a two-day conference focused on financial, banking and payments technology.

Fintech is entering an exciting new stage in its development given the advances in mobile payments technology, expansion of crowdfunding opportunities, and the introduction of cryptocurrencies and blockchain initiatives. The Middle East’s climate for fintech innovation, growth and investment is ideal. With a majority of residents having access to mobile devices but not bank accounts, the evolution of state regulations with startups (instead of banks) in mind, and growing competition among regional and western VCs, fintech opportunities in the Middle East are accelerating at a historic pace.

Taking place from 26-27 February 2018, during UAE Innovation Month and Dubai Innovation Week, Finovate Middle East will bring together early-stage startups, leading established companies, media, financial service institutions and funders drawn by the opportunity to see the future of fintech both regionally and globally.
