IMF REO Report - Tradeoffs Today for Transformation Tomorrow in the Middle East and North Africa

Overview

The DIFC and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) invite you to an online panel session of the IMF Regional Economic Outlook for the Middle East and North Africa report.

With uncertainty around the pandemic’s trajectory increasing, what is the state of the recovery in the MENA region? What new economic challenges are emerging, and how risks to the recovery are evolving? Which policies can help the region emerge from the crisis on a path toward building inclusive, resilient, and green economies for the future?

A distinguished panel of speakers will explore these critical issues and many more from the IMF’s newly released Regional Economic Outlook: Middle East and Central Asia in a panel discussion moderated by CNN International’s Becky Anderson.

Join us to learn more about the key economic challenges the region faces in the months and years ahead as well as policies that could help countries secure a transformational recovery.

The event will be hosted on the IMF Live and the REO page. Attendees can post their questions for panelists on the IMF’s social media platforms, where the event will also live streamed (in English on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and in Arabic on Twitter and Facebook MENA).This panel will be conducted in English with Arabic translation.
