Modern, minimal, refined – and I would add one more, serene.
Success to me means impacting people’s lives in a positive way. By that I mean instilling serenity and balance in people’s lives by offering a simpler, more conscious lifestyle. To me, if I have shown that being spiritual can lead to a simpler lifestyle that in turn promotes peace and fulfilment, then I am successful. And to be able to do that by supporting and promoting global and local artisans, it allows me to give back to the community and support charitable initiatives, then I am successful. In short, to be able to do good for the greater good while being good would be the ultimate success.
Don’t be in it for the money. Have a deep passion for your work but stand for something other than your product or service. Be tenacious but humble, outspoken but respectful. Treat others with your manners not theirs. Learn as you go and learn from your mistakes, but never look back.
Less is more. If in doubt choose grey, marble and hints of brass – it’s a timeless combination that will outlast any season. And don’t forget to include plants or flowers, no room is complete without it.
Quality. I wouldn’t never compromise on it. With our products being handmade there may be slight imperfections, but that is not viewed as a sign of lesser quality but rather a mark of craftsmanship that is highly valued.
