Art Nights @ Gate Village Sheds Light on the Evolving Art Scene in DIFC and the UAE



Marking the start of Dubai’s new season of art-related events, the much anticipated return of DIFC’s Art Nights @ Gate Village was held last Wednesday, attracting hundreds of the UAE’s art enthusiasts. Aimed at highlighting the significant role that DIFC Gate Village holds in the development of the arts and culture of the UAE, Art Nights presented a diverse programme of events combining elements of art, music, film and design. 

The event offered a relaxed setting in which visitors encountered all that DIFC has to offer as one of the city’s most popular centres. Art Nights also showcased a wide range of talent, emphasizing the great extent to which art has become essential to the Dubai experience.

Sponsored by Barclays Premier and supported by DIFC, Art Nights presented several new exhibitions, viewings and performances organised by the growing number of art spaces in the Gate Village. Of note were a special preview of Christie’s upcoming auction highlights and the exclusive unveiling of public sculpture by Art Dubai.

In support of local talent, Art Nights had asked award-winning artist Fathima Mohiuddin to execute live painting in front of the windows of the recently opened boutique health club, u energy. Visitors were also able to view a unique display of hand-painted wearable art dresses by the fashion line NOOSH.

The evening was complimented by singer/songwriter Hamdan Al Abri’s performance of his celebrated music.

Guests of the free public event were invited to enjoy complimentary canapés provided by DIFC retailer, mOre Cafe.
