DIFC and Key partners participate in careers UAE 2007

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) endorsed a strong presence of the financial services sector at UAE Careers Fair 2007 by its key participation at the exhibition this year. In addition to DIFC’s participation, the Centre announced that a number of leading local, regional and international institutions within the DIFC community will join the DIFC and display a variety of employment opportunities for UAE Nationals. These partners include Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, EFG Hermes, Rothschild, Zabeel Investments, Shuaa Capital, DIFX and the DFSA.
His Excellency Dr. Omar bin Sulaiman, Governor, DIFC said: “The development of national human capital is crucial to delivering on the vision to establish Dubai as the region’s financial hub. Developing career opportunities for UAE nationals is thus a priority for the DIFC, Dubai and the UAE as a whole. By investing in our national youth, we also provide foreign companies with the national expertise, which is key to their success in the region, This two-pronged approach enables the DIFC to contribute towards the creation of a sustainable knowledge economy that will help build and develop businesses in the UAE.”

Careers UAE is a high-calibre event that enables talented UAE nationals in all fields to meet directly with recruiters and hiring managers from top employers within the diverse number of industries in the UAE representing both Government and the private sector.

DIFC’s dedicated area at Careers UAE 2007 will give visitors and potential candidates an overview of DIFC’s role in developing the region as a hub for financial services . In particular, the participation will focus on developing Dubai and the UAE as a key financial market that will actively bridge the local and regional financial industry with the international financial industry. Visitors will also be able to view the human resources policy, the job opportunities for UAE nationals and career development plans offered in the DIFC and its financial community.
The DIFC stand (no.F1-3) is located at Hall 1. In addition to this participation, the DIFC is also sponsoring an area called the DIFC Zone which will include a networking area, a media stage hosting media interviews and a number of quizzes and awards offered by the DIFC during the career fair.
The 7th annual Careers UAE Exhibition is held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, from 13 - 15 March 2007. The exhibition is organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, with the official support of the Ministry of Labour, and in partnership with TANMIA, Emirates Nationals Development Programme (ENDP), Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University and UAE University.
