DIFC Art Nights Returns with Three Days of Spectacular Displays of Autumn-Themed Art, Culture and Entertainment

Dubai, UAE, 19 November 2019: The popular DIFC Art Nights will return bigger than ever to the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the global 8th ranked international financial centre and prime destination for lifestyle, arts and culture. Art Nights will give visitors a unique experience of eclectic art fused with culture and live entertainment with the opportunity to enter a world of creativity and inspiration.
As part of DIFC’s commitment to delivering on Dubai’s Culture and Arts strategy, Art Nights returns this Autumn for its longest ever period in response to popular demand, extending across three special themes from 18 to 21 November 2019.
Hosted in the charming outdoor setting of Gate Village, a premium urban retail, leisure and cultural development at the DIFC, Art Nights welcomes over 7,000 visitors each season. Visitors can enjoy a vibrant blend of art exhibitions and installations, live musical performances and delicious dining experiences that positions DIFC as a business hub and leading lifestyle destination in the heart of Dubai.
DIFC Art Nights is also a platform for UAE-based artists to gain exposure to a global audience, while international exhibitors tap into the region for the first time and visitors get the chance to participate in creative activities themselves.
Throughout Art Nights, DIFC will launch three special themes highlighting the extent of its major cultural significance that includes:
Autumn is Coming: The opening of Art Nights where visitors can enjoy a stroll through Gate Village and view a spectacular array of autumn-themed art and design works along with eye-catching Instagrammable structures and live entertainment.
Staircase Gallery: The staircase gallery brings together the work of local, regional and international artists who will dominate the walls of staircases in sanctioned DIFC Gate Village Building 3. Their creative murals will be displayed in strategic positions, allowing visitors to be met with stunning visual pieces of expression as they ascend the staircases of Gate Village Building 3 in the heart of the DIFC.
DIFC Sculpture Walk: Large high-end outdoor sculptures, flown in from across the globe, from artists such as Antonio Signorini and Giovanni Balderi will be placed throughout the promenade level of Gate Avenue and will feature as part of the Art Walk in DIFC.
Art Nights’ highlight centrepiece on display will be ‘Deciduous’, the first ever 3D-printed installation in the Middle East. The pavilion invites visitors to revisit their relationship with nature by walking through an abstract botanical structure. Designed by MEAN (Middle East Architecture Network), Deciduous is composed of three different sustainable materials including 30,000 up-cycled plastic bottles. The term ‘deciduous’ refers to trees that seasonally shed leaves in Autumn and in celebration of this year’s theme ‘Autumn is Coming’, Deciduous invites visitors to reconnect with nature.

Art Nights will display the work of 21 unique global and local artists as well as nine art galleries including: Tabari Artspace, Christies, Cuadro Fine Art Gallery LLC, The Empty Quarter Ltd, Sothebys, Opera Gallery, Sconci Gallery, The Farjam Collection LLC and Andakulova Gallery.
