DIFC Holds Strategic Partners Awards Ceremony 2017



UAE, Dubai, 7 December 2017: Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the leading financial hub in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region (MEASA), today held its ‘Strategic Partners Awards Ceremony 2017’, to recognise the invaluable support the Centre continues to receive from different government entities in Dubai.

The ceremony was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of DIFC, and in the presence H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC, said, "We are honoured to celebrate the strong spirit of cooperation across all the government entities of Dubai in line with the vision of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. We all play a key role in realising the vision of our leaders to develop the city and the nation into a global centre that is tolerant, diverse and dynamic. The directions of H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed has led the DIFC to success and as a leading international financial centre, and in achieving its objectives and future aspirations."

Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Maktoum awarded the strategic partners of DIFC, which included Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Courts, General Directorate of State Security - Dubai, Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Dubai Land Department, the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department, Dubai Customs, Dubai Corporate for Ambulance Services, Dubai Economy Department, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defence, General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs – Dubai, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Government of Dubai Media Office, Dubai Tourism, the Supreme Legislation Committee, Dubai Creative Clusters Authority, Securities and Commodities Authority.
