DIFC Sponsors UAE Pilots at Jet World Masters



The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) confirmed that it is sponsoring the UAE Jet team competing at the Jet World Masters event in Hungary between 30th July and 6th August.

The Jet World Masters is the acknowledged leading event in the world for Remote Control airplanes and will involve 89 competitors from 30 countries. Up to 350 team members will be involved in impressing the international judges using the very latest high tech machines capable of speeds of up to 300 Kmh.

The UAE team is managed by Rashid Thani Al Mehairi and includes pilots Ahmed Nasser Mohammed, Jamal M Al Mazrouei and Darryl Tarr.

Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman, Director General of DIFCA said,

“The DIFC will continue to contribute to both the economic well being of the UAE as well as seeking ways to contribute to the social and cultural development of our country.

Our involvement with the UAE Jet team is consistent with this strategy. These dedicated young men will represent UAE at this prestigious event and I am delighted to confirm our support and wish them all the very best of luck.”

UAE Jet Team Manager, Rashid Thani Al Mehairi, added,

“It is thanks to the support of the Dubai International Financial Centre for sponsoring the Team and to Dr Omar that we are able to compete in this prestigious tournament. We have prepared very hard for this event where we will be competing against the very best Remote Control pilots in the world and will do our very best for the UAE.”

The UAE team will be using 2 Albatross jets and another of the Raphael type.
