Dubai International Financial Centre acquires stake in Euronext

“DIFC Authority investment arm confirms it has acquired more than a 1% stake in Euronext.  Investing in Euronext is consistent with our focus and long term strategic aim of developing the Dubai International Financial Centre to complement those centres in Europe, USA and the Asia Pacific region. Our investment in Euronext has been made with the full knowledge and agreement of the Board and management of Euronext. Since September 2004, when the Dubai International Financial Centre began operations, it has succeeded in attracting many leading financial institutions and is the world’s fastest growing financial centre.  Accordingly our investment in Euronext fits well with our ambitions for growth.”
