HE Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Governor of DIFC Hosts HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark



HE Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) today hosted His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and a high-level Danish delegation at DIFC.

The delegation accompanying the Danish Crown Prince included HE Troels Lund Poulsen, Minister of Environment; HE Christian Konigsfeldt, Ambassador of Denmark; Per Thornit, Lord Chamberlain, Chief of Court; HE Mr. Jarl Frijs-Madsen, Ambassador and Under-Secretary for Foreign Trade and Investment; HE Klavs A Holm, Ambassador and Under-Secretary for Public Diplomacy; and Ole Krog, Deputy Director General, Confederation of Danish Industry; HE Thomas Bay, Consul General of Denmark.

HE Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer said: “The visit of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark to DIFC gave us an opportunity to explore new economic complementarities and partnerships between our nations. The world’s shifting economic geography gives our countries an opportunity to redefine our current relationship and tap areas that can yield new synergies. The financial industry presents one such area of potential cooperation. During our discussions with Crown Prince Frederik and the Danish delegation, we discussed many areas that present the possibility of cooperation and mutual investment in the financial industry.”

Following his meeting with DIFC officials, His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and the Danish delegation met heads of Danish companies in the UAE. Later, the Crown Prince also attended the opening of a seminar on sustainable infrastructure and environment held at the Capital Club.
