HH Sheikh Maktoum and Chairman of UBS Discuss Outlook for the Global Economy

HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), today received Kaspar Villiger, Chairman of Swiss UBS AG.

HH Sheikh Maktoum and the UBS Chairman discussed the global economic and financial situation and the outlook for global economy in the light of efforts being made by governments across the world to stimulate economic growth.

The meeting also discussed the Swiss company’s financial and investment consultancy services delivered from its regional headquarters in DIFC.

Villiger said the outlook for the UAE economy was ''promising'' with both the country and the region offering fresh opportunities for economic development.

The meeting was attended by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and CEO of Emirates Group, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court and HE Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Governor of DIFC.
