A large art sculpture titled “The KUBE” - inspired by the Ka’aba - is being installed at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), in the open space opposite the Spanish Steps.
Created by artist Mohammad Ali Talpur and owned by art collector and writer, Dr. Aziz Kurtha, The KUBE consists of a 3 cubic metre transparent structure composed of 125 smaller transparent structures. The transparency symbolizes openness.
Abdulla Bin Sougat, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Lifestyle Group, said: “The KUBE sculpture fits perfectly within the vision of DIFC’s art and culture aspirations of promoting art to complement its buildings and facilities. We have displayed art, some owned and some loaned, to lend an aesthetic appeal to the DIFC environs and to add to the enjoyment and pleasure of the DIFC Community and the visiting public.”
