Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, officially launched the Cass Business School’s new offices in the DIFC Centre for Excellence today.

The event was held at the DIFC Conference Centre and was attended by, HE Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, Governor of the DIFC; Faten Hani, CEO of the DIFC Centre of Excellence; Richard Gillingwater, Dean of Cass Business School.

“The great advancement taking place in Dubai wouldn’t have been possible without the proactive vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid, who stresses the importance of human capital as the main driver for the development and prosperity of Dubai and the UAE. The official launch of Cass Business School offices at the DIFC provides students from the UAE, the region and beyond, with the opportunity to pursue their studies near their homes and families. Today’s changing Economic scene makes it imperative to be well-equipped with up-to-date knowledge in order to overcome the current challenges and turn them into opportunities for growth”. HE Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman commented.

The DIFC Centre of Excellence was established as a hub for executive and professional development and education. The centre was created by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and will reach out to professionals within the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Africa, the Caspian Subcontinent and the Indian Subcontinent. The centre is situated within the DIFC, the world’s fastest growing financial centre and at the heart of cosmopolitan Dubai.

Cass Business School, City University London, is one of the top-ranked business schools in Europe. Its Executive MBA programme is ranked second in the UK and third in Europe by the Financial Times. Cass Business School is currently hosting its inaugural Dubai Symposium from May 2-6 which gives the School’s MBA students an opportunity to learn from leading business leaders about the challenges and benefits of doing business in the region. It also provides a perfect opportunity for the 80 London-based students in attendance to network with almost 400 alumni based in Dubai and the surrounding region.
