Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer Receives Union of Arab Banks Delegation
Al Tayer: “The Banking Sector Cooperates with the Union of Arab Banks and All Government and Private Authorities to Support the National Economy”
H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre, received Mr. Adnan Ahmed Yousuf, Chairman of the Union of Arab Banks and Mrs. Rajaa Kammouni, the Union’s Advisor and Director of its magazine. In attendance was also Mr. Sulaiman Al Mazroui, member of the Board of Directors of Union of Arab Banks and General Manager of Group Corporate Communications at Emirates NBD
The delegation visit falls within a series of Arab and international meetings the Chairman of the Union of Arab Banks is holding with senior officials from the banking and financial sectors during his tour in the region. It also aims at forming a unified joint Arab standing in the face of the developments witnessed by the banking and financial sectors in the region and the international financial markets.
HE Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer confirmed the commitment of UAE banks to cooperate with the Union of Arab Banks to confront financial and economic challenges that are facing the world today. He also stressed that the UAE Banks are committed to continue paying their utmost efforts and cooperation with all government and private authorities to support the UAE national economy”
During the meeting, the visiting delegation congratulated HE Al Tayer on his recent election as Chairman of the UAE Banks Association. The delegation also confirmed the invitation to HE Al Tayer to attend the annual general conference which will be organized by the Union of Arab Banks in the Turkish capital Istanbul.
