UAE, Dubai – 23 November 2017: Gate Avenue at DIFC, the new premium urban retail, leisure and cultural development at the heart of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), witnessed today the planting of the first three trees by His Excellency Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC, who was joined by Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority, Nabil AlKindi, Chief Real Estate Officer of DIFC Authority, and DIFC Authority employees.
The trees which were planted in the North zone bring Gate Avenue at DIFC to life ahead of its anticipated opening in 2018. The tree planting was followed by a tour around the Gate Avenue.
Spanning across 660,000 square feet of built up area and 880 metres in total length, Gate Avenue at DIFC will link the podium levels of all buildings located in DIFC, from the Gate Building to Central Park Towers.
