During our meeting with the Crown Prince, we discussed several ways to enhance financial and investment interaction between the UAE and the Netherlands. DIFC has always had a strong relationship with the European Union (EU), with a large proportion of companies in the DIFC financial services community hailing from the region. The Crown Prince’s visit gives us a chance to further deepen these ties.”
The highlight of the Crown Prince’s visit was a Royal Luncheon hosted in his honour at the Capital Club in the Gate Village at DIFC. Frank Heemskerk, Minister of Foreign Trade of the Netherlands delivered a speech at the event.
The Crown Prince later also met with top officials of the Young Arab Leaders (YAL), the region’s foremost development platform for business, public sector and civil society leaders.
