In July 2012, Dubai International Financial Centre announced the restructuring of the Centre’s core functions into two independent entities. DIFC Authority was named as the business development and legislation arm, and DIFC Properties established as part of DIFC Investments to manage the Centre’s existing real estate portfolio and develop the remaining plots in DIFC’s Masterplan.
DIFC Properties oversees the property management and development of real estate assets in the DIFC, of which roughly 40% remains to be constructed. The Master Community Declaration is the document which sets out the rights and obligations that the Master Developer, namely DIFC Investments LLC, has towards all owners and occupiers in our Master Community here at the DIFC and vice versa.
The Master Community Declaration is an amalgamation of best international practice and local practices to ensure a well maintained and functioning community with world class facilities that can be enjoyed by owners, occupiers and visitors alike.
We feel strongly that the Master Community Declaration reflects our core values of transparency, integrity and efficiency, and has been drafted to ensure clarity and unambiguity in our dealings with our owners and tenants in terms of how the Master Community is operated and how Master Community Service Charges are collected in order to ensure that all common area assets are kept in pristine condition for members of the community to use and enjoy.
We urge all owners and occupiers of our Master Community to read the document at their leisure as it is a binding document and supercedes and replaces the previous Master community Declaration in its entirety.
