The DIFC Property Management Team oversees the property management of real estate assets in the DIFC. Our role is to effectively administer our residential, commercial and leisure facilities for the benefit of our clients while also ensuring that our estates are efficiently operated with the prospect of decent returns on investments made.

Saleh Al Akrabi
DIFC's strategic Real Estate objectives are the provision of world-class professional, residential and leisure facilities for the international business elite. Accomplishing these objectives in line with DIFC's vision and mission requires sustainable projects that can optimise returns for investors.
Our aim is to provide a business environment that enables Dubai to establish a major financial hub for international companies seeking to take advantage of the city’s strategic location. Aligned with this vision, we continue to develop and cultivate a unique lifestyle environment within the business district by offering premium commercial, residential and retail space.
Our upscale retail outlets, fashion boutiques, fine dining restaurants, contemporary galleries and modern exhibition and events facilities will shape Dubai and DIFC as a professional hub and lifestyle destination. Maintaining the DIFC’s world-class facilities will help the Centre to sustain and enhance its mission in line with Dubai’s broader vision as it moves into the future.
Saleh Al Akrabi
In his role as Chief Executive Officer, Saleh Al Akrabi is mandated to take forward the property management function of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), including commercial activities, community management, facilities management and security. Mr. Al Akrabi manages a US$2.5 billion property asset portfolio that comprises of premium commercial office and retail space. In addition to this, he administers the development and implementation of DIFC’s mix retail strategy.
Mr. Al Akrabi also serves as Head of Investments of DIFC Investments LLC, where he manages and oversees DIFC’s diverse investment portfolio. In this role he restructured and led the investment team, designing and implementing rigorous investment processes and strategically monitors an investment portfolio that includes investments in various asset classes over US$500 million. Further to this, he is responsible for strengthening DIFC’s relationships with partners, stakeholders and potential investors.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Mr. Al Akrabi was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Properties. In this capacity, he advanced DIFC’s real estate short, medium and long term strategic objectives, achieved revenue targets and enhanced the policies and procedures framework. He also directed and supervised the commercial activities and functions of DIFC, including property development, commercial leasing, retail, business centres and property management and operations.
A specialist in equities, compliance, and risk management, Mr. Al Akrabi is the Chairman of CPI Financial and sits on a number of boards including the Emirates Consulting Group, Art Dubai, Gate Media Films, Despec International and BHB Bedford Properties Inc. He additionally serves as Director of Global Commodity Finance and Director of Kuwait Investments LLC.
Mr. Al Akrabi holds a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Wales, UK, as well as Master’s degree in Financial Management from Atlanta University, US, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He completed a graduate certificate in Leadership from Queens School of Business, Queens University. He is also a Certified Chartered Portfolio Manager (CPM) and Master Islamic Financial Analyst, and completed the Institute of Directors (IoD) Director Development Program.
Mohammad Al Najjar
Mohammed Yousuf Al Najjar is Head of Property Management in the Dubai International Financial Centre; a role he has held since 2010. With over 12 years of experience in the real estate industry, Al Najjar is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Facilities Management, Fit-out Management, HSE and Master Community management and to ensure that DIFC Properties is able to maintain premium quality standards and timelines in those areas. Al Najjar originally joined DIFC as Assistant Projects Manager in 2005, and later became Projects Manager in 2006, then Director of Projects and Assets Management in 2008.
Prior to joining DIFC, Al Najjar was Architect for Municipality Coordination in Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), where he was in charge of coordinating projects and maintaining relationships between the corporation and local authorities. Al Najjar commenced his career in 2000 as Projects Architect with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, where he was responsible for supervising and designing renovation works for federal projects.
Al Najjar holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering from the UAE University, and has attended the Senior Managers Programme at the London Business School.
