Dubai’s biggest summer festival – Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) – is back for a milestone 25th edition and DIFC is excited to be a part of it! The annual summer shopping and entertainment extravaganza will be held from 1 July until 4 September this year. To make this season even more special, DIFC’s Gate Avenue is offering incredible deals, discounts, and entertainment for shoppers.

Head to Gate Avenue, the urban retail destination, with your family and friends and make the most of the summer holidays. There is something for everyone – get some retail therapy, enjoy a nice meal, be entertained by performances or the galleries around, get pampered at a salon or just sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee. Foodie Destination at Gate Avenue
Join us on a gastronomical journey at Gate Avenue between 12pm to 6pm from 5-14 August and enjoy not just delectable food, but also exciting activities, competitions and entertainment offerings.
The classic ‘Spin the Wheel’ fortune game will debut at the Foodie Destination at Gate Avenue, albeit with a twist. The wheel will be placed across the destination and guests will spin it to win instant AED40 vouchers. Be one of the 600 winners and redeem the voucher at any of the participating outlets during DSS.
On weekends, between 5-14 August, children and families can take a culinary journey together by participating in the fun and healthy cooking classes at Mamalu Kitchen.
Throughout the week, visitors can also enjoy performances by solo musicians and DJs.
 
Build it out
The ‘Build It Out’ edutainment Lego activity will run daily from 2pm-9pm from 5 August to 4 September at Zone B, Gate Avenue. As part of the activity, individuals and families will work together to create Lego structures under different themes, such as an airplane, a house or a train station among others. These structures will be on display for visitors to vote, and the best creation will win a two-night full board staycation at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton, DIFC. This is a collaborative activity for families to come together to combine their creativity and create interesting structures.
